Before setting up her own business, Ciara Donlon was never one to stay in the same job for too long. About halfway through the ten years she spent job-hopping in the corporate world, she got a sudden urge to do something completely different. “I ended up working as an operations manager in a flying school in Weston for a year,” she says. “I decided I was going to become a pilot.”
Donlon had wanted to understand how planes worked ever since 9/11. She remembers watching footage of the twin towers collapse and deciding she didn’t ever want to develop a fear of flying. “I must like being in control,” she says.
