PUDUCHERRY: Atal Incubation Centre (AIC), Pondicherry Engineering College Foundation (PECF) and Schneider Prototyping India Private Limited (SPIPL) have signed a memorandum of understanding to guide and support startups with design development and technology access.
As per the MoU, AIC-PECF and SPIPL will extend hands-on exposure to early-stage entrepreneurs and student entrepreneurs and access to SPIPL’s mass production facility where they can design their innovation into ‘scalable products’ besides mentoring and supporting them to develop and validate their products.
The MoU was signed in the presence of SPIPL chief operating officer B Manikandan, AIC-PECF executive director R Sundaramurthy and chief executive officer V Vishnu Varadan.
Fully supported and funded by Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), Niti Aayog, AIC-PECF aims at providing a platform to assist and enable young entrepreneurs and innovators in Puducherry to launch their start-up firms and commercialize the technologies developed by them.
Industries play an important role in creating a conducive ecosystem for young startups to co-exist and scale their business, said a release.
