Indore: 40 start-ups to take part in i5 summit | Indore News


INDORE: With an impetus on increasing digital footprint and entrepreneurship after the outbreak of pandemic, the seventh edition of i5 Summit hosted by Indian Institute of Management and Indian Institute of Technology, Indore commenced from Friday. As many as 40 start-ups are expected to be a part of the summit this year to participate in networking sessions with industry experts and pitch ideas to angel investors.
Shaheen Mistri, CEO of a non-profit organisation in the education sector said, “Although organisations across the globe are going through a major overhaul right now, underprivileged children whose education has been affected, suffer the most.” Two workshops were conducted on the first day of the summit.
The first workshop focused on delivering insights on the ways India could harness opportunities amidst the current crisis by leveraging its digital and demographic dividend. Speaking on Indian start-up evolution that has enabled the entry of new players, Sandeep Aggarwal, CEO of an online automobile marketplace said, “Three essential values for an entrepreneur are human spirit, undying hope, and passion.” Another speaker and an alumnus of IIM, Indore Raghav Joshi talked about future of cloud kitchens in India and how it is being shaped and being modified every day.
