Funding in Indian startups this week (24 May-29 May)


This week 22 Indian startups raised funding, of which 18 received a total sum of about $519 million. Among them, Zeta raised the highest funding of about $250 million, followed by FarEye, which raised $100 million.

Meanwhile, funding for 4 of the total funded startups remained undisclosed.

Below is the summary of deals closed this week

Zeta: Modern banking tech company Zeta has raised $250 million in its Series C round from SoftBank Vision Fund 2.

FarEye: Logistics management platform FarEye has raised $100 million in its Series E round led by TCV and Dragoneer Investment Group. Existing investors Eight Roads Ventures, Fundamentum and Honeywell also participated in the round.

Plum: Tiger Global has led a new round of $15.7 million in enterprise-focused group insurance platform Plum Insurance.

Koo: Indian microblogging platform Koo has raised $30 million in its Series B round led by Tiger Global, taking the company’s valuation to over $100 million.

Sentieo: US and India based fintech startup founded by Alap Shah and Naman Shah, has raised $20 million in a Series B round of funding.

Yalo: Conversational commerce platform Yalo has raised $50 million in a Series C funding led by existing venture investor B Capital Group.

Atlan: Data collaboration workspace startup Atlan has raised $16 million in a Series A round led by Insight Partners. Existing investors Sequoia Capital India’s Surge and Waterbridge Ventures also participated in the round.

Kodo: Fintech startup Kodo has raised $8.75 million from Brex, Goat Capital, and Pioneer Fund along with a few others from Silicon Valley.

Fireflies: Voice intelligence and AI assistant provider Fireflies has raised $14 million in Series A funding led by Khosla Ventures and its seed investor Canaan Partners.

FarMart: Agritech platform FarMart has raised around $2.4 million led by Omidyar Network India and Avaana Capital. Existing investors Indian Angel Network and LetsVenture also participated in the round.

Cellestial E-mobility: Hyderabad-based startup Cellestial E-mobility, the maker of the first electric tractor in India, has raised $0.5 million in a pre-Series A funding round at a valuation of $35 million.

Get My Parking: Bengaluru-based mobility and smart parking startup Get My Parking has raised $6 million in a fresh funding round led by IvyCap Ventures.

Clensta: A startup in the personal care and homecare space Clensta has raised $0.7 million from N+1 Capital. AI-driven matrimonial app has raised $3 million in a pre-Series A round.

Tekie: Bengaluru-based edtech startup Tekie has raised $1.5 million in seed round co-led by Silicon Valley-based GSV VenturesandMultiply Ventures.

Glamplus: Salon-focused SaaS platform Glamplus on Monday said it has raised $0.28 million in a pre-Series A round led by Inflection Point Ventures.

Mentoria: Career discovery platform Mentoria has raised $0.2 million in a pre-Series A round of funding from Indian Angel Network (IAN).

Ready Set Jet: Encubay Angel Network has marked the close of its first investment of $0.06 million in lifestyle and beauty brand Ready Set Jet.

Undisclosed deals this week, Avalon, LegalPay and Barbrew did not disclose their financial details.
