RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – A report prepared by ABVCAP in partnership with KPMG shows that investments in private equity and venture capital totaled R$23.6 billion last year.
Despite the turbulence caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the private equity and venture capital industry invested R$23.6 billion in Brazilian companies, the second highest figure ever.
This figure is only lower than in 2019, which was 7% higher than in 2020. The data are from a report prepared by the Brazilian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (ABVCAP) and KPMG Consultancy.
