Burrows-Cheng Earns All-American Honorable Mention Nod

MINNEAPOLIS – Gopher Rowing’s Lauren Burrows-Cheng has earned 2021 Division I Pocock All-America Honorable Mention accolades, the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) announced this week. 

A native Hobart, Tasmania, Burrows-Cheng represented the Maroon & Gold as a First Team All-Big Ten honoree and was also recognized as the team’s Varsity Most Valuable Rower this season. The senior competed with the First Varsity Eight boat in all 10 races during the 2021 season including an appearance at the Big Ten championships. 

A three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection and a two-time Big Ten Distinguished Scholar, Burrows-Cheng helped Minnesota rise to No. 14 in the Pocock/CRCA Division I Rankings for the program’s highest national ranking since 2008.
